Suncorp Vehicle Repairer Standard signage gives car owners the confidence their repairer has met the minimum technical standards required to perform a repairs to high and safe standards.
If you’re a current Suncorp recommended repairer, speak with your Manager, Motor Claims about your pathway to certification. Whilst the Vehicle Repairer Standard is self-audit based, Suncorp’s Manager Motor Claims are responsible for visiting repairers and ensuring all compliance requirements are met and documented.
In order to ensure a smooth audit, it’s important you can demonstrate evidence of meeting all relevant requirements, a requirement to become a Certified Repair Facility. Required audit evidence and actions are included against each criterion.
The Standard will apply to all Suncorp Group recommended repairers, with physical workshop requirements to be met by no later than 30 September 2014 and training components met by 30 June 2016.
Once confirmed as a Certified Repair Facility, repairers will be provided with Vehicle Repairer Standard signage to display at their shop, as well as rights to use the certified logo on business correspondence and customer marketing material.
The Suncorp Vehicle Repairer Standard has been designed as a benchmark for all repairers in the industry, however at this stage official recognition and official auditing signoff is limited to Suncorp recommended repairers.
Repairers not performing Suncorp work are free to use the Standard as a tool to ensure their business is keeping pace with modern automotive and workforce challenges.
